LFFA receives funding for watershed assessment & monitoring
LFFA’s Habitat Restoration team recently received funding for an exciting new project. The Watershed Assessment & Monitoring Project (WAMP) will take direction from Lower Fraser communities and identify and assess aquatic habitat sites of interest across the Lower Fraser watershed, standardize LFFA’s process for providing habitat assessments and create a repository of site data to help inform recommendations for stewardship, monitoring, and restoration work in the future. This two-year project is funded by the Pacific Salmon Foundation, and will build on knowledge acquired through LFFA’s previous Climate Adapt project.
