Project Updates

Tier 1 delegates from LFFA member First Nations, Tier 2 government partners, and Tier 3 representatives (NGOs, academics, recreational fishing groups etc) are invited to join this semi-annual, 2-day meeting to hear project updates from LFFA staff.

This meeting is an important opportunity to see the full scope of LFFA’s work. The meeting will take place in person (location TBD) and online on Zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/88475353537?pwd=brCC0GWJKhloI6keO5HlJTuhZu8QTF.1

From habitat restoration projects to strategic planning and own source revenue, implementing Indigenous legal principles, scientific research, planning for emergencies and of course, planning for fisheries, project leads will present detailed information on the work that’s been done since the last project update.

For external partners, these project updates showcase the depth and breadth of the contributions that LFFA and lower Fraser First Nations are making towards salmon stewardship in our region. For delegates and First Nations partners, it provides a bi-annual opportunity to get the most important updates, which helps avoid meeting fatigue.

Project updates also put faces to names, helping us all to understand which partners are involved with which projects. Often, opportunities to collaborate or streamline efforts come up which is important if we want to maximize the return on investment for salmon.

Even more importantly that that, there are always opportunities to win a cool door prize!
